Dr. Bruce Parsons is a highly accomplished martial artist with over 35 years of experience in Tae Kwon Do, holding a 4th degree black belt, which was awarded in 2003 by Grand Master Craig Hamman. Bruce has dedicated his life to mastering the arts of Tae Kwon Do, American Karate, Combat Hapkido, and Japanese Jui Jitsu and has earned a reputation for excellence both as a practitioner and instructor.

Currently, Bruce serves as the Alabama State Director of the United States Martial Artist Association (USMAA), where he oversees the development of martial arts programs and the promotion of traditional martial arts values across Alabama. In this role, Bruce is committed to fostering a strong martial arts community and supporting the growth of both new and experienced martial artists.

In addition to his leadership role, Dr. Parsons is also known for his work as a clinical psychologist and hypnotherapist. His passion is working with first responders, active military personnel, and military veterans experiencing PTSD. His background in military law enforcement (including Emergency Services Team), a decade as a civilian firefighter/paramedic, and his own experiences with the VA help him to understand people from these backgrounds better than many psychologists might. His passion for martial arts, his desire to serve others, and his drive to work toward a higher good are evident in every aspect of his life, and he continues to inspire others through his dedication and skill.
